Rune of the Day: Gifu

For everything that goes right today, something will go wrong.  Of course, the reverse is also true: for everything that goes wrong, something else will go right.  Today is all about keeping the balance in your life.  Just go with it, in the long run the good almost always outweighs the bad. 

 

Tarot Card of the Day: 8 of Cups

 

Sometimes we have to leave things behind, no matter how much we love them.  They may be holding us back, or dragging us down, or maybe we just can't watch them hurt themselves any longer.  Its time to look at some of those situations today, and decide which ones we just have to put behind us for our own good.  These are rarely decisions, but we have to put our own well-being first.

 

The Two Together

The 8 of Cups paired with Gifu is telling us we have to look at the whole picture when we are looking at relationships or situations we are thinking of ending.  We have to look at the good as well as the bad and then decide who and what is worth keeping in our lives: and, conversely, who and what has to go.  Be careful not to end something just because its been a difficult patch, we need to look at how likely things are to improve also.
