Rune of the Day: Mannaz

This is a good time to make new beginnings, to take advantage of new career opportunities, to focus on relationships and even on helping your community. Look at situations with the intention of doing what is best for everyone involved, not just yourself, or one particular person that you may be trying to help. Make sure your actions are true to your beliefs and values.

Tarot Card of the Day: Hermit

Take some time for yourself; some time to reflect on your life and your beliefs, on where you want to go next. The better we know ourselves, the more we are able to follow our true path and to find inner peace and happiness. Change old beliefs if you have come to find them untrue or unjust. Remember, as we gain more experience and knowledge our world view changes, it’s only natural that our beliefs would change also.

The Two Together

Both the Hermit and Mannaz encourage self-reflection and inner change. The Hermit is more focused on inner truth and finding a new path, while Mannaz presents the opportunities for these changes to manifest in outward form with improved relationships, more of a sense of community, a better understanding of the big picture.

Monday 1/19 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Due to my internet being down Monday's post is a day late. Here it is, see how I did.

Rune of the Day: Uruz

This is a great day to make new beginnings, to make new starts. You have all the inner resources and faith in yourself that you could possibly need. It’s time to let go of the old and move on with new goals and projects. Sometimes the biggest opportunities we get come to us disguised as losses.

Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Cups Reversed

You may not be communicating very effectively with others today. Remember that they may not have the same vision or dreams as you, and this will make them see situations differently. Don’t be upset that they have their own ideals, find a way to bring your visions together instead.

The Two Together

Uruz paired with the Reversed Page of Cups is telling us that we should focus our new beginnings on the relationships in our lives. We may need to let old relationships go so that we can begin new ones, and to find establish new boundaries for some of our other relationships. Remember that everything in life changes, that includes the people in our lives and our connections to and interactions with them.

Sunday 1/18 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Kenaz Reversed 

 

 

Just because we don't understand or agree with something or someone, does not necessarily make them wrong. What would never work for us may be just the thing for someone else. Being negative about those things we don't agree with, or don't understand just brings us down. We need to stay open to new ideas and to learning, instead of being closed-minded and judgmental.

New career opportunities are on the way, and right now we are unprepared for them. We are going to need more training and/or education, perhaps even more experience before we can advance in our field. This doesn't mean we're not good at our jobs, just that we need to learn more in order to go further in our chosen field.

The pairing of Kenaz and the Page of Wands, both reversed is clearly telling us that we need to open our minds to both more formal education and job training and to new perspectives and points of view about life. It is only with an open mind and continued learning and new experiences that we grow. Once we close our minds to new things, we just become stagnant and withered.

Rune of the Day: Wunjo Reversed

 
Things are not going well today, it seems like every time you turn around someone else needs something. Be careful not to give so much of yourself that you make things more difficult than they have to be. Some setbacks in life are inevitable, fighting against them only drains us.

Tarot Card of the Day: Tower Reversed

 
You may feel like you are on the completely wrong path today, that you have been working towards the wrong goal all along. Don't act too hastily on these feelings, take some time to really examine your beliefs and your priorities. Only change the ones that you really no longer believe in, not the ones that are just difficult to hold onto right now.

The pairing of Wunjo and the Tower, both reversed, is telling us that it is time to really take a look at our lives and our beliefs. Things aren't going very well, and we need to determine if that is the Universe telling us that we are on the wrong path, or just the part of life that makes worthwhile goals more difficult to achieve. That decision is up to each of us individually; today is a good day to start thinking about that.

Expect disruptions and delays today, even disagreements with those around you. Don't take any of this personally; flexibility is something the Universe requires, and making you be flexible sometimes is all part of the plan.

You may have missed a few warning signs lately, and because of that now things are going downhill. Don't let this sap your confidence, everyone misses things now and again. Besides, your strengths lie in other areas today.

The pairing of Raido and the King of Swords, both reversed, is warning us to expect difficulties today, and possibly some blame for those difficulties. We can't change the past, we can't notice things that we missed before and go back. But, we can react and adapt to what is going on around us to make the best of our current situation. Sometimes problems have to come to the forefront to be dealt with effectively.

Open yourself up to your intuition, don’t just dismiss the thoughts that pop into your head: they very likely are the solution to a problem you are dealing with, or perhaps the seeds of a new perspective on things; maybe even the beginnings of a whole new path.

Things haven’t worked out as you had planned, in fact some of your plans have crashed and burned. Take time to mourn the things that haven’t worked out, but remember that no one thing defines you. You may feel alone, unworthy, even a bit like a failure, but this is just one setback. You have so many wonderful things in your life don’t just focus on the negative.

It is often our subconscious that sends us the solution to our problems, or pushes us in a new direction. Sometimes failure is a push in a different direction from the Universe – don’t ignore the hints about that the direction that your imagination may be giving you.
