Letting go of the familiar is never easy, but it is sometimes necessary.  Today we need to let go of what is holding us back, no matter how comfortable or familiar it may be.  This opens the door for us to move on to bigger and better things.

We need to be open to new ideas, new people, new places, new ways of doing things.  We only keep ourselves trapped when we have a closed mind.  We can miss out on so much in life just because we are afraid to open ourselves up to something new.
 

The Two Together

Both Tir and the Reversed Queen of Swords are telling us that we need to change things in our lives.  We need to let go of the familiar, especially if it is the familiar that is holding us back.  Sometimes we have to give up things that we think make us happy, to find that which will give us true, long lasting joy and inner peace.
