Today is definitely a big picture kind of day: a day when you have to look at what is best in the long run and do that, no matter how painful it may be short term.  Sometimes you really do have to be willing to make a sacrifice right now so that you can reach much greater heights down the road.

 

Tarot Card of the Day: 9 of Cups Reversed

It's easy to get so caught up in the everyday rat race that you don't take time to appreciate what you have, and the successes you've achieved.  Having goals is a wonderful and necessary thing, but don't get so focused on the next goal that you forget to enjoy the successes you've already achieved.  You worked hard for them, take time to enjoy them, no matter how big or small they may be.

Tir paired with the reversed 9 of Cups is telling us not to get so focused on our personal goals that we lose sight of the big picture.  Sometimes what's best for us individually, will hurt something bigger we are a part of: our family, community, even our workplace.  We need to consider our decisions carefully today, especially their long term effects on those things bigger than us.
