Rune of the Day: Ehwaz

Ehwaz is a rune of progress, of physical activity, of travel.  When this rune is drawn you can be sure that you are making strides forward.  This is a rune of physical changes. 

Often, this rune foretells of an actual move, a relocation to a new dwelling.  Going along with any kind of physical change or relocation there is almost always a change in attitude also.  

Sometimes, just a new attitude alone can make all the things in your life seem different, with Ehwaz this is certainly possible.  This new attitude can open up new opportunities and lead to even more physical changes. 

Tarot Card of the Day: Ace of Pentacles

The Ace of Pentacles is a card of new beginnings financially, of attainment and prosperity.  This card is a sign that things are on their way to being better financially.

As with all the aces though, it only represents the opportunity for a  new beginning.  The opening is there, what you do with it is up to you.  This card, while indicating a new financial start, also implies that there will be a lot of work to do.  It is always a lot of work to start something new.  

While this card may represent a new job, an opportunity to start your own business, to pick up a second income, or any of a myriad of other new financial beginnings, almost all of these will require you to do the work to make them come to fruition. 

The opportunity is there, it is up to you to accept it or refuse it, and if you accept it to follow through on it for there to be true financial change.



The Two Together:  

Ehwaz and the Ace of Pentacles both signify progress, moving forward.  They actually are somewhat connected as most progress, or at least having the time and opportunity to make progress, requires some financial freedom.  

Even spiritual progress requires some of that financial freedom-you have to have enough time and mental energy left after earning a living to work on yourself spiritually if you are truly going to make any progress. 

These two symbols, when taken together, indicate that there will be that degree of financial freedom coming your way if you are willing to work for it.  Now is the time to work on bettering your life, your progress is almost guaranteed to be sure, and even somewhat swift. 

Just be careful not to get so caught up in the material progress that you let the spiritual slide, the two are very interconnected.  The more you progress spiritually, the more you appreciate what you have materially, and the more good things that come to you.
