Rune of The Day: Thurisaz (Reversed)

Thurisaz reversed is a rune of warning. Its biggest message is to slow down. 
Things may be happening very quickly, you may feel that you need to make some snap decisions.  Take the time to think things through, you may very well end up regretting any quick decisions you make right now. 

This rune also warns about travel; trips may be delayed, or the journey itself may be unpleasant.  If its possible think about rescheduling any trips you are planning, even a change of a few hours can be the difference between a peaceful flight and one with a screaming child sitting in the seat behind you. lol

The biggest warning of Thurisaz reversed however is to not get caught up in everything happening around you.  There may be a lot going on right now, and things may seem to be happening very quickly.  Don't lose sight of the big picture, keep in mind the long term consequences of any actions you take or decisions you make.  

 
Tarot Card of The Day: The Chariot

The Chariot represents someone in a hurry.  This can be a card of warning, to slow down and really examine the long term effects of your decisions.  There is a real need to pay attention to details when you see this card, to not just rush into things. 

One of the more traditional meanings of the Chariot is travel, however it also represents adversity and the inner journey we take when overcoming it.  This card is very much saying that you should consider the whole picture when making decisions about this situation, not just look for the short term fix. 

In the long run this card indicates you will almost certainly overcome what is holding you back, it just urges caution in making your decisions. 

The Two Together 

Today is one of the easy days for this part of my entry!  Both the Chariot and Thurisaz reversed are urging caution in making decisions.  They both represent a real need to not get caught up in the momentum of the moment and to truly examine the long term consequences of any choices you make right now. 

Both also can indicate travel, with Thurisaz reversed warning that travel right now may be delayed or unpleasant.  As with any decision making use caution, the rune is not saying cancel any trips, its just saying they may not be much fun.  The Chariot meanwhile, only says there may be travel, as a single card it does not indicate a good trip or a bad trip. 

So whatever you have planned, whatever you have been working on, just take your time with any choices you make.  Even if events are unfolding quickly, take the time to look at the big picture so that you don't regret any hasty decisions you may make.
