Rune of the Day: Nied

 There is a strong tendency to focus on the negative today, to only see the bad, and to let that negativity cloud your thinking.  There will be obstacles and setbacks; they are a part of life.  It is how you handle them that is important, and today your tendency is to overreact, to let stress and worry cloud your thinking and distort your reality.  It's necessary today to just do our best with the situations that we face.  After all, doing our best is all that anyone can ask of us.

Wanting to be alone will be a strong tendency today.  A desire to just get away from it all and almost feel sorry for yourself.  Although you will be there for those who reach out to you today, you will not really be connecting with them emotionally.  You would just as soon stay in your head today, and you will do your best to make that a possibility. 

The Two Together

Both Nied and the Hermit speak of spending time in your own head, with your own thoughts: Nied because of cloudy thinking, the Hermit because of a desire to just be left alone to brood.  Time alone is all well and good, just keep in mind that hiding never solves a problem, and that you have to come out and face the real world sometime.
