Today is a good day to reach out to family, to spend some time considering your roots and your heritage.  Look at where you have come from and where you are going.  Try to see the big picture in life, the one that is bigger than just your lifetime.  Spend a little time honoring your history; have a traditional meal, tell stories of your childhood, look at old family photos, whatever feels right for you.  Your heritage is one of the few things in your life that doesn't change, which is always with you.

It will be easy to lose patience today, to make rash decisions, especially financially.  Take the time to think things through, to decide whether or not you really need to buy that new coat, appliance, car, whatever it is.  Consider your options, does what you have really need to be replaced or will be almost as good as new with just a few repairs?

Othala paired with the reversed 7 of Pentacles is urging you to remember where you came from, not just heritage wise, but lifestyle wise.  It's a reminder to live within your means, to focus on what is truly important in life, not on keeping up with the Joneses.  Most of us grew up with parents doing the best that they could, that's what we should focus on today, just doing the best that we can, and honoring those that taught us what our best truly can be.
