Rune of the Day: Fehu Reversed

Fehu reversed is a rune of loss, of bad spending habits, of frustration and lack of success.

At this time of year, with the holidays so close, many people are not being prudent with their finances.  Think of this rune as a warning that sooner or later, any financial manipulations will catch up with us.

This is often a cautionary rune, warning us to be careful of our finances, to live within our means, to beware of offers that seem to good to be true.  (Do I even have to say it?-they are probably are! lol)

Enjoy the holiday season for its true meaning, not for the commercialized mess it has become.   By all means, celebrate, buy gifts, whatever traditions you practice, just be prudent, don't buy what you cannot afford.  There are many holidays celebrated this time of year, not one of them is truly about how much you spend.

Tarot Card of the Day: 2 of Cups Reversed

The 2 of Cups reversed is a card of misunderstanding, of false friendship, of a troubled relationship.

This card usually is a warning of a relationship or friendship that is about to implode.  Sometimes one is aware of the difficulties, sometimes not.  Many times people keep things to themselves rather than risk hurting another;  other times, people keep things to themselves for their own selfish reasons.

This is a good time to take a real look at your relationships, with family, friends, and romantic partners.  Make sure you are being as honest with them as you would want them to be with you.  Compromise is part of any relationship, but it should never be a compromise that brings you down or makes you uncomfortable.

Your relationships are almost always what you make of them; what you put into them, and what you are willing to accept from them.   Decide wisely how important each relationship is to you, and treat it accordingly.

The Two Together:

Fehu and the 2 of Cups, both reversed, are about not seeing things clearly.  Fehu focuses on the financial, while the 2 of Cups focuses on relationships but both, at core, are about perception.

Both of these indicate seeing things as being better than they are, of not noticing warning signs.  Perhaps these are late fees on bills we pay late, or someone cancelling plans with us more and more often.

The good thing is that if we open our eyes and minds and pay attention to the little things going on around us, we can most likely prevent these from turning into major problems.

Blessings!
