Raidho reversed is a rune of delay, of inconvenience. This rune signifies the need to be flexible as delays are part of the plan. Granted, probably not a part of our plan, but definitely part of the Divine's plan.
It is essential with Raidho reversed to be flexible and adaptable. Accept that change helps us grow and is inevitable, and that it doesn't always go smoothly. Railing against it, trying to fight it, refusing to accommodate it just ensures that the delays will last longer and become more difficult to overcome.
Only by learning from the delays and obstacles in our path and incorporating that knowledge into our daily lives can we get where we want and need to go.
The 8 of Staffs is a card of rapid progress, speed, of things happening very quickly, sometimes too quickly.
This card usually appears when things are changing quickly, especially in the area of employment or education. It may signify multiple offers of employment, or acceptances to different colleges. It also may represent a promotion that you are not ready for, or have not earned.
Don't let yourself be pressured into making a quick decision when this card appears. It is easy to feel pressured because so much is happening so quickly. Just remember you will have to live with the decisions you make now, at least for while, so think them through.
The Two Together:
Raidho reversed signifies delay, while the 8 of Staffs indicates things happening very quickly. Together, they indicate being distracted from your true goals by too many outside influences.
All of the rapid changes indicated by the 8 of Staffs may have nothing to do with your true goals, in fact, they may be the delays indicated by reversed Raidho.
It is easy to be distracted by rapid advancement at work, or lots of offers for employment or school activities. These things may take your focus off of what is truly important in life, and of the goals you have been working towards.
Since Raidho reversed encourages flexibility, by all means enjoy the rapid progress offered by the 8 of Staffs, just don't get so caught up in it that you lose sight of what is truly important.
