JANUARY RUNESCOPES

ARIES: ISA

Isa is a rune of enforced rest, of standstill, of stasis, but primarily a rune of protection.

For hard-charging impulsive Aries, this is not going to be an easy month.  Waiting is not something that comes naturally to this fire sign. 

Know that the inactivity indicated by Isa is there for protection.  Sometimes doing nothing, just sitting back and waiting is the only thing that can be done without causing problems. 

Although this is hard for you to tolerate Aries, know that patience is key for you this month.

TAURUS: EIHWAZ

Eihwaz is a rune of endings, of endurance, of discomfort promoting growth, and of protection.

This will be a month of change for peaceful, practical Taurus.  Change is not something this earth sign does well; Taureans do prefer to keep the status quo.  This month however, change is necessary for both growth and protection.

Eihwaz indicates change that must happen, sometimes it is necessary to cut out of our lives that which is either holding us back or dragging us down.  Painful though it may be to change, holding on to the wrong things can prove to be much more painful in the long run.

Taurus, once you accept this change as either inevitable or beneficial, your practical nature will take over and you will move on to better things.

GEMINI: ANSUZ REVERSED

 

Ansuz reversed is a rune of obliviousness, of blockages, of communication failures and bad advice. However, all of these mixed signals, and messed up messages are part of the process and do serve a purpose in the long run.

Analytical, knowledge-gathering Gemini will be quite frustrated with these communication problems this month.  It will probably feel a bit like a Mercury retrograde to them.

For Gemini, the key is remembering that these errors and mixed messages are part of the big picture.  In some way, they will teach something, or open one’s eyes to a new point of view that helps to make a better outcome.

CANCER: JERA

Jera is a rune of well-earned rewards, of reaping what has been sown, of slow success, but not of quick results.

Emotional, instinctive Cancer will bask in the glow of knowing that what they have worked for has finally come to fruition.  This will be a month of satisfaction for you, almost of vindication.  Those things you have been working for and waiting for, they are finally happening.

Relax and enjoy your bounty, you have certainly worked for it Cancer!

LEO: RAIDHO

Raidho is a rune of unstoppable momentum, but not necessarily speed, of progress not of perfection, of union or reunion.

Warm-hearted, love to be in the thick of things Leo will feel right at home this month.  Lots will be happening, with the process being much more important than the outcome.  This is a month of laying groundwork, of progress being made.

It is not, however, a month of reaching goals or destinations.  For January, it’s all about the journey not the destination.  So sit back and enjoy the ride Leo, there’s bound to be lots for you to do.

VIRGO: PERTHRO REVERSED

Perthro reversed is a rune of secrets that can hurt you, unusual events, surprises, and revelations, sometimes of financial loss.

For analytical, detail oriented Virgo this month will be a little unsettling.  Surprises, and secrets kept by others, generally do not sit well with this earth sign.  Try to remember you are not the only one who likes to keep some things to yourself.

Try not to be too hard on yourself this month Virgo, some things simply can’t be anticipated, no matter how hard we may try.

  

LIBRA: HAGALL

Hagall is a rune of elemental disruption, of shock, misfortune, of short term interruption followed by long term rewards

For balanced, unemotional Libra this will be a month of learning, of searching for understanding, of growth.  This air sign always wants to know more, and this month will provide plenty to learn about.

Look for the root of the disruptions in your life this month Libra, there you will find the lesson that is being taught.  The bigger the disruption, the more important the lesson.

SCORPIO: NIED

Nied is a rune of obstacles, of distress clouding one’s thinking, of learning to work around constraints, basically of making the best out of any situation.

For emotional, instinctive Scorpio, this may be a very stressful month.  You will need to temper your natural impulse to rush right in and do something, and really plan your next move.

Things may not seem fair at all this month Scorpio, but know that it is how you deal with the situation that is important, not the situation itself.

 

SAGITTARIUS: URUZ

 

Uruz is a rune of strength, health, inner resources, of vitality and faith in oneself.

Adventurous, outspoken, outgoing Sagittarius will be at their peak this month. You will be able to handle anything that comes your way with your usual independence.

This is a great month for you to try new things Sagittarius.  Let your adventurous side shine through; the runes are certainly on your side this month.

CAPRICORN: ING

Ing is a rune of fertility, prosperity, of new beginnings, creativity and intense energy.

For practical, physical Capricorn this is a great month to get things done.  You will have lots of extra energy this month, and a drive to try new things.  This is a great time to start those projects you have been putting off, or the ones you just never seem to have time for.

AQUARIUS: EHWAZ REVERSED

Ehwaz reversed is a rune of blockages and delays, of being stuck in a rut.

For always learning, always trying something new Aquarius expect to be out of sorts for much of the month.  This is will be a month of frustrated plans, of things just not coming together.

As irritating as these delays may be Aquarius, know that they are only temporary.  Use your analytical nature to see what is really holding you back-perhaps it is something within yourself that you haven’t yet recognized.

PISCES GIFU

Gifu is a rune of partnership, equal give and take, opportunity and obligation.

For overly agreeable Pisces, this month will be full of pleasant surprises.  The equality of relationships represented by Gifu means that you will not be the one putting out all the effort this month.
