Nied is a rune of adjustment, of acceptance, of doing our best in the face of adversity, and of reality being clouded by emotional distress.

Sometimes we just need to accept that things don't go our way and deal with it.  Today is one of those days, expect setbacks and delays.  Don't fight them, just accept them and work around them.

These will seem to be much more serious setbacks than they really are; handle them and then find a new path.  Stressing over them without taking action just makes them seem much worse than they are. 

Tarot Card of the Day: 4 of Pentacles Reversed

 

The 4 of Pentacles is a card of wastefulness, of frivolity, of using resources unwisely. 

It's very easy to get caught up in the moment today, to see something that you "can't live without" and buy it regardless of what it does to your budge. Splurging once in a while is a pleasure we all deserve and need.  Just be careful not to get carried away today.

Ask yourself if you really need what it is you want to spend money on, or if its something that will sit unused after a few days or weeks.  Keep the big picture in mind today when it comes to spending money, you'll be glad you did. 

The Two Together 

Nied speaks of handling setbacks, while the reversed 4 of Pentacles indicates an unwise use of our resources.  Together they indicate that today may be a day of financial setbacks brought on by unwise spending. 

Try to be prudent in your spending today, make sure something is really worth it's cost.  And if you find you've overspent, don't stress.  What's done is done, learn from your experiences, and open yourself up to the lessons you're being taught.  

Remember, most problems look smaller after a day or two, when you've had time to get some perspective.   There is a way to solve any problem you are given, have faith in yourself and you will find it.
