Rune of the Day: Isa

Isa is a rune of standstill, of stasis, of enforced rest and frustration of plans.  This is a lack of motion that is intentional on the part of the Universe, not necessarily on our part.

This rune sometimes appears when moving ahead with something would have less than beneficial consequences.  Often it’s telling us that we need to let go of our need to control the situation and to just let things happen as they are meant to.

Regardless of which purpose Isa is serving today it is very important that we not fight it.  We must accept that there is nothing to be done for the moment.  Trying to force action will just lead to a bigger roadblock.

So take a step back today, and just wait.  Let problems untangle themselves, everything that is meant to happen will happen in its own good time.

Tarot Card of the Day: Knave of Wands Reversed

The Knave of Wands reversed is a card of indecision, of being unsure of what to do next.

There are times that we know exactly where we want to end up but we don’t have a single clue how to get there-today would be one of those times.  Often, if we just have a goal in mind with no plan it is because we need to think more about our goal.

Take some time to really think about where you want to go next, any changes you are planning on making.  Learn as much as you can, the more you learn, the more the path to your destination will be clear.  Many times when our path is unclear it’s just because we don’t know enough about where we are going.

The Two Together

Isa and the Knave of Wands reversed are both telling us that now is not the time to act, now is a time to wait.  We don’t have to remain totally idle though: gathering more knowledge about our path, learning, always good things.

Once we have enough knowledge our path, the way to reach our goal should be much more clear.  What were once obstacles will now be mere bumps in the road.  Sometimes life slows us down until our spirit can catch up with our willfulness.

Blessings!
