Rune of the Day: KENAZ

Kenaz is a rune of learning, of craftsmanship, of self-awareness and of expanding one's horizons.

Tarot Card of the Day: 3 of Cups Reversed

The 3 of Cups reversed is a card of disappointment, of something not living up to expectations, of having aimed a bit too high. 

We may find today that we have been living in a bit of a dreamworld, that things are just not as bright and shiny as we have been seeing them.  As people we have a tendency to expect either too much or too little in life. 

 Today is one of those days where we will see some things just aren't as wonderful as we thought they were.   We just have to remember that just because things aren't all that we had envisioned, doesn't mean that they are bad.  It is just necessary today to make our expectations a bit more realistic. 

The Two Together:

Kenaz paired with a reversed 3 of Cups is telling us that we need to learn more about the things, including the people, in our life.  We need to spend some time finding out how things work and where people are coming from. 

The more we learn, the more we can understand and empathize; both understanding and empathizing lead to more realistic expectations.    This leads us to growing as people, and to more tolerance and sympathy.  We all know, the world needs a lot more of that right now.
