Sunday, January 5th HAGALL

Hagall is a rune of shock, of damage and misfortune, delay leading to greater rewards.

This rune usually appears when we haven't been paying attention to what is going on around us.  Generally, the Universe has been trying to send us a message, and we either haven't noticed it, or have refused to hear it.

So be prepared for some disruption today, and look at the base cause of it.  The sooner we learn what we need to know, the sooner we can move on to bigger and better things. 

Tarot Card of the Day: The Fool

The Fool is a card of new beginnings, of being impetuous, of not thinking things through.

You know exactly where you want to end up, or what you want to do today-its how to get there, or how to get it done that's not so clear.  

Take the time to think through what you are planning today, consider possible roadblocks or pitfalls.  To a degree, the Fool is a card of protection-the Universe is watching out for you, and will help minimize the damage from mistakes you might make.   However, it is best not to test this protection unnecessarily; so take the time to think before you act.

The Two Together: 

Hagall is warning us of potential danger, of delays and misfortune, while the Fool is encouraging us to start on a new journey.  

Starting  something new is always a risk, the trick is to be aware of the possible setbacks and to plan for them, or to at least include them in your thinking.  That is what Hagall is really telling you to do.  To look and listen for the messages the Universe is sending you.  

Being prepared is pretty much the whole battle today.   We should absolutely follow our dreams, just not follow them blindly.  We need to always take into account the effects of our actions, and how those actions may come back to us, through karma or otherwise.   As long as we remember this, and act accordingly, we should not meet too many bumps in the road.
