Rune of the Day: Daeg

You may find yourself more tolerant of others today, with a new sense of understanding.  You're feeling pretty confident in yourself, and that makes it much easier to open yourself up to understanding others and their perspective.  The wonderful thing about this is that the more you understand others, the more you understand yourself.

Tarot Card of the Day: 9 of Pentacles

You can accomplish almost anything you set your mind to today.  Projects you have been working on can be finished, new inspirations can take root.  You have the patience and the resources to bring things to fruition, and you enjoy watching things come together.

The Two Together

Daeg combined with the 9 of Pentacles is very much a live and let live type of energy.  You are feeling confident and creative, very accomplished.  As long as you can do your own thing, you're not begrudging anyone else the chance to do what makes them happy.  You may not understand it, but at least for today, that won't bother you at all.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Fehu

Expect some good fortune to come your way today, either through material gain, or through progress in a relationship you've been developing. Projects you've been working on, especially those connected to finance, may pay off very well today.  Be sure to spread some of your wealth and joy around, sharing it is bound to increase your own luck.

Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Pentacles

Focus on living in the moment today, on really paying attention to what you are doing and what is going on around you.  We are so often multi-tasking in today's world that very little gets our full attention.  For today, give whatever you are doing your full attention, really live in the moment.  You might just be surprised at how much you normally don't notice.

The Two Together

Fehu paired with the Page of Pentacles is reminding us that we have to pay attention to those things that we want to attract to our life.  Whether it's financial gain, or a romantic relationship, if we don't pay attention to it, and really focus on it, it will slip away.

Blessings!

Pagan Blog Project C is for Chysocolla

Chrysocolla is a receptive stone, associated with the planet Venus and the element of Water.  It is known as a Goddess stone because of it's affinity for communication.

The stone is primarily found in England, Chile, Israel, the Congo and the United States.

Communication is the primary association for this stone,  and its also known to have the magickal properties of peace, wisdom, and love-all of which are pretty closely tied to open, honest communication.

Chrysocolla is a stone of peace, and peace of mind.  It is known to help one keep from getting carried away with one's own thoughts and illusions.  Holding a piece of the stone in your hand is said to drive off unreasonable fear and illusions.

Wearing the stone gives increased powers of discretion and increased wisdom.

Visualizing a love while holding a piece of chyrsocolla helps to attract one to you.  In fact, using chrysocolla with any type of visualization helps to give extra energy and action to your words.

In it's healing modality chrysocolla is a very soothing stone, very calming.  That makes it especially helpful in treating nervous disorders such as stress and anxiety, even depression.

As always, nothing said here is meant to substituted for medical advice.  If you have any medical concerns please see a professional.

This stone is also known to help with hip pain, rheumatism and arthritis, and blood disorders.  It is known to ease menstrual cramping.

Chrysocolla is also helpful in detoxifying the liver, kidneys and intestines, as well as helping to regenerate the pancreas.

It is also believed to be helpful in balancing insulin levels, and therefore in the treatment of diabetes.

Again, let me stress, using the stone merely helps these conditions, it is not a substitute for medical treatment.

Overall, chrysocolla is a very centering, grounding stone, one that helps us achieve moderation in both our thoughts and our bodies.
Pagan Blog Project C is for Cloves

Cloves are a masculine herb associated with the planet Jupiter and the element of Fire.  With all that cloves can be used for, the Fire connection really rings true.

They are primarily grown in Tanzania, and also India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar, Madagascar and Pakistan.

Magickally they are used for protection and exorcism, love, and money.

Almost all of these uses can be obtained by burning cloves as incense.  This is known to stop others from gossiping about you, attract riches, drive away negative and hostile energies, and produce strong spiritual vibrations.  Now that is one powerful incense.

Wearing cloves, perhaps in an amulet, or carrying them with you brings comfort to the bereaved, and also attracts the opposite sex.  Perhaps being in proximity with them sends out calming vibes that work for both uses.

Cloves are also very useful in healing and in pain relief.  As always, this is not intended to be medical advise, or used in place of seeing a medical professional; if you are not feeling well you should consult your medical professional.

Cloves are known to be very powerful in a healing capacity-it takes very little of them to be effective.  Brewing a cup of tea with just 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of cloves produces a tea that helps with stress and possibly insomnia.

The oil in the cloves is so concentrated, that you can strain the cloves from one cup of tea and reuse them in a second one that will be just as effective.

This relaxation property is also effective in dealing with digestive problems, including diarrhea.  Drinking clove tea, or seasoning your meal with cloves, is known to help digestion, by relaxing the muscular wall of the digestive tract.

Ingesting cloves is known to help the stomach produce more hydrochloric acid, and the heat of this may be what causes this reaction.  Additionally, taking in cloves is known to help rid one of intestinal parasites, perhaps due to the increased acid production.

Clove oil is also a medicinally powerful antiseptic and helps to disinfect root canals.

One of the best known uses of clove oil is as a pain killer for tooth aches.  This was the remedy used in the dental torture scene in the movie "Marathon Man".  Amazing, the things that stick in my mind!  At least this factoid has proved useful to me.  I am currently having a lot of dental work done and have placed ground cloves directly on my gums with almost instantaneous pain relief.

On a practical level, scattering ground cloves around a deck, porch, or other area will keep ants away, and sticking cloves in lime halves will keep mosquitoes away.  There really seems to be very little this herb cannot do!

Blessings!
Rune of the Day: Beork

This is a day to try something new, to express yourself differently, and to really take some time to do what's best for you.  You spend a lot of time and energy on helping others, on work, on your home, but not usually so much on yourself.  Take that time for yourself today, do something creative, nurture your inner child, do something just for you.  You'll be surprised just how much it recharges you on every level: emotional, physical, mental and spiritual.
Tarot Card of the Day: 2 of Pentacles

It may be difficult to get new projects off the ground today.  Sometimes it is necessary to settle for less than what you want, just so that you can get your foot in the door.   Start out small today, just to make a start.  Once you get the ball rolling you will be able to expand your goals and eventually reach your original destination.

The Two Together

Beork and the 2 of Pentacles are both saying it is time to try something new.  You probably have lots of things you'd like to do, but only so much time and so many resources.  That's where the 2 of Pentacles comes in, don't get bogged down in what you can't do.  Pick something small to start, and do that-you'll get to everything eventually.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Ehwaz Reversed

Don't expect to make much, if any progress today; things just aren't going to happen the way that we would like.  We seem to just be stuck in a rut so to speak today, just unable to make things happen.  It will feel kind of like swimming through molasses, no matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, we just can't seem to get ahead today.
Tarot Card of the Day: The Magician

We know what we want to get done today, and we know exactly how to do it.  This is a great day to tackle some of the things we have gotten behind on, the stuff that just always seems to build up and that we never get a handle on. (For me, that would be housework! lol)  If we just apply ourselves we can get a lot done today.

The Two Together

The Magician paired with Ehwaz reversed is telling us that although we may get a lot done today, we won't really accomplish that much.  Some days, no matter how hard you work, and how much you do, there just isn't much overall progress.  Today is one of those days; personally I try to consider it a foundation laying day-there may not be a lot of progress, but we have everything in place for when progress is possible.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Kenaz Reversed

Sometimes we just don't want to hear what others have to say, we've made up our minds and nothing is going to change them.  Usually this attitude backfires on us in the long run, so try to keep an open mind today, even if you're not in the mood.  Listen to others' opinions and thoughts, put them aside and come back to them later, but don't totally discount them.  It's often ignorance and stubbornness that lead to our worst decisions.

Tarot Card of the Day: 8 of Pentacles Reversed

Trying to skate through life today is probably going to backfire on you.  There are things you must do, and things you must learn, and if you've been trying to fake it, today is the day you will be found out.  Flattery and manipulation can only get you so far, and today, they will not get you anywhere.   Best to just do as much as you can to catch up to where you should be.

The Two Together

Kenaz and the 8 of Pentacles both reversed are telling us in no uncertain terms that we need to adjust our attitude.  We need to listen to what others are, and probably have been, telling us.  This is a time to accept that we don't always know best and that it is sometimes necessary to listen to others who know more than we do.  Eating some humble pie probably wouldn't hurt the situation either.

Blessings

Rune of the Day: Isa

Taking it easy seems to be the order of the day for today.  For most of us it's Sunday,  a day many people don't work, so take advantage of that and let this be an idle day, or an ideal day for some!  Sometimes we just need to stop, and wait for things in our life to find their own direction, to see which way the wind is blowing.  Trying to force things to happen today will have little or no effect, so just relax and enjoy the down time.
Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Wands

New ideas come fast and heavy today.  You find yourself wanting to try new things, and perhaps some new versions of old things.  People may approach you with new opportunities.  Take the time today to learn a little about the things you want to try.  A little knowledge and preparation can make new experiences much more enjoyable than just winging it.

The Two Together

Isa paired with the Page of Wands is saying that although you shouldn't try to force things today, there is no reason not to be prepared for change.  Soon things will be clearer, and you will know which actions best serve you: until then, you should take it easy.  That doesn't mean that you should totally veg out; keep your mind active, learn something new, you never know when that knowledge might come in handy.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Gifu

A new love match, or at least an intriguing new friendship, is very possible today.  You may meet someone you have a karmic link to, someone connected to you from a past life.  You both have something to bring to the table, lessons to teach each other and to learn from each other.  Make sure you give as good as you get today, Gifu is all about equal exchange.
Tarot Card of the Day: Knight of Wands

You may find yourself wanting to get away from it all today, to just run away at least for a little while.  You  may just be stuck in a rut, or fed up with the daily routine, so do something different.  Go for a drive and find a new restaurant for dinner, do something out of the norm for yourself: perhaps visit a museum or art gallery.   Sometimes just expanding our horizons a little can give us a whole new perspective on things.

The Two Together

Gifu paired with the Knight of Wands is saying that you just might meet someone new and interesting if you get out of your comfort zone.  Going new places and doing new things introduces us to new people, obviously!  Just maybe one of those is who you are meant to meet today.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Thurisaz

Today would be a great day to do some serious soul-searching.  Sometimes, in order for us to grow, we have to let go of the things from our past that we have been allowing to hold us back: old hurts and traumas.  Though those things will always be a part of us, the more we let them influence how we live our lives today, the more power we give them.  Acknowledge those things, accept that they happened for a reason, and let them go-take away their power over your life.
Tarot Card of the Day: 6 of Cups Reversed

Instead of looking at the past through rose-colored glasses, start focusing on the future.  Make new plans, look forward to trying new things, seeing new places, meeting new people.  It is through change that we grow.  What is in our past has certainly helped to shape us, but focusing on it prevents us from moving on.

The Two Together

Thurisaz and the 6 of Cups reversed are both telling us that it is time to let go of the past, time to look to the future.  Rewriting the past, making it seem less troubled than it was, does us no good in the long run.  We need to acknowledge our history, learn from it, and now to move past it.  Let the past be a lesson to us, not a place we want to stay.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Jera

Although it has taken a while, you are beginning to see results in those things you have been working towards.  You know that most things take time in life, and have the necessary patience, but it's still nice to see the beginnings of progress.  Like a farmer watching seeds sprout and break through the soil, you can see the best rewards are yet to come.
Tarot Card of the Day: The Star Reversed

Things may not go as well as you had hoped today.  Just remember that disappointment is a part of life, just as joy and happiness are.  Perhaps it is time to move on from the things and/or people that continually disappoint you.  Sometimes ending bad associations is the best thing to do, no matter how difficult it may seem to be.

The Two Together

Jera paired with the Star reversed reminds us that we must endure setbacks while we wait for good things to come our way.  Being human, we often feel that disappointed when things don't move along as quickly as we would like.  We just need to keep in mind that even slow progress is progress; if we just keep nurturing the little sprouts, they will eventually grow to be full size plants.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Wunjo

Things are definitely looking up today: there is a new found sense of peace and accomplishment.  Things may or may not be going better today, but you have found that inner peace that enables you to find the good in any situation; to recognize all you have accomplished, and to know that you will overcome whatever problems come along.
Tarot Card of the Day: Ace of Swords Reversed

You know where you want to end up in life right now, you just have no clear idea, and not much of a cloudy idea, of how to get there.  Although this can be frustrating, knowing where you want to end up is a start.  Don't worry about planning your whole journey today, just figure out the first step, and remember, baby steps are okay.  Even the little ones get us where we are going eventually.

The Two Together

Wunjo paired with the reversed Ace of Swords emphasizes the need to take the next step on your journey, whether you are focusing on the physical or the spiritual right now.  The peace of mind indicated by Wunjo makes it easy to want to stay right where you are, but life never lets us do that.  Besides, you know you need to keep growing.  Finding the path to take is a bit challenging today, just remember that even the longest journey begins with just one step.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Raidho Reversed
Flexibility is the key for today, flexibility and communication.  Once again, plans will probably be disrupted or at least put on hold.  Accept that these things happen, try to go with the flow, communicate with others involved in the situation and brainstorm ways to work around the disruptions.  Doing that not only makes one feel more in control, but can open up new ideas that are even better than the original.
Tarot Card of the Day: The Moon

It is easy to be misled today, to suddenly find that things, and people are not what they seemed to be.  Or what they claimed that they were, for that matter.  Don't let this get you down.  Know that there are more good people than bad in this world, and consider today to be a learning experience.

The Two Together:

Raidho reversed is all about delays, while the Moon speaks of deception.  The delays we experience today may very well be caused by the deception of others, or by their insistence on doing what is best for them, and their lack of concern for how this affects others.  We cannot change negative people, we can only control and change how we react to them.  Go with the flow today, try to let everything roll right off your back.  Making the best of a bad situation is sometimes exactly what we're supposed to do.

Pagan Blog Project B is for Bay Leaves

Bay leaves are associated with the Sun, masculine energy, the element of Fire, and the deities Apollo, Ceres, and Eros.

They are most well known for their uses in cooking, primarily as flavoring for soups, stews, and sauces.  There are several different varieties of the herb including Indian, Indonesian, California, and West Indian.   Each one has its own distinctive flavor for cooking, but all serve the same purposes magickally.

Magickally, bay leaves are known to have the powers of healing, protection, purification, promoting psychic powers and strength.

It is primarily considered a protection and purification herb, and can be placed in an amulet to keep the wearer safe from harm.  Having a bay plant near one's home is believed to guard the home from evil.

Hanging the plant within the house helps prevent poltergeist activity, while placing some on windowsills will protect the home from lightning strikes.

It is useful in removing curses and other evil spells when mixed with sandalwood and burned during the a ritual to remove negative magick.

Holding a bay leaf in one's mouth is said to ward off bad luck; but I would be very careful doing that.  Bay leaves are generally rather sharp, and if you were to cut the inside of your mouth that wouldn't be very good luck at all!

Wearing bay leaves, in addition to providing protection will also give you extra strength-perhaps the extra strength is part of the protection.

Keeping bay leaves under your pillow will give you prophetic dreams, while burning them will help you to have visions.

Burning bay leaves that have wishes written on them, especially during a full moon ritual, ensures that your wishes will come true.  I just did this to help me find a bigger, better, and still affordable apartment!

As a healing herb, bay seems to be fairly versatile, helping with minor discomforts as well as colds and congestion.

As always, the healing uses of herbs are not intended to be medical advice and should not be used instead of medical treatment.  Consult your medical professional with any concerns.

Itching, bruises, minor skin discomfort, and even muscle sprains can be relieved with the use of a salve made with the leaves and berries of the bay plant.

Simmer the leaves and fruit of the plant until they are very soft, add honey and make into a poultice to be used for relief from chest colds and congestion.

Overall bay leaves seem to be as versatile magickally as they are in cooking.   It's a wonderful herb to keep on hand, especially for those of us who practice some kitchen magick now and then!
Rune of the Day: Mannaz Reversed

It will be very easy to become frustrated and discouraged when things don't go well today.  The last few days have been a bit of a trial, and it's only natural to feel a little hopeless, to become a little cynical.  Just remember that the more negative emotions we put out into the Universe, the more negativity we attract.  Look at challenges and difficulties as tests of endurance, or as learning opportunities.  If we start viewing these difficulties in a more positive light, we will begin attracting positive things.
Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Swords

You are ready to take on a new project today, ready to really show what you can do.  Just be sure that you will still be as enthusiastic about this project when it's not so bright and shiny and new.  Starting new things is always fun and exciting; sticking with them, especially when things don't move so quickly, or there are problems is the hard part.

The Two Together

The Page of Swords is giving us exactly the right attitude to have when confronted with the energy of Mannaz reversed.  A go-getter, I'm going to get this done attitude.  One of tackling challenges, looking at them as new opportunities: that is the best way to blow out the frustration of reversed Mannaz.  It truly is all about one's attitude.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Eihwaz

Focus on doing what is right today, no matter how inconvenient or uncomfortable it may be.  Often just sticking it out through the rough times, being flexible when things are difficult is all we need to do; to just wait for things to improve.  Remember that today's trials are helping us to grow and to earn the rewards that the Universe always eventually bestows on us.
Tarot Card of the Day: Queen of Cups

Although it may feel like you are everyone's go to person when they need something, part of you thrives on being there for them.  You truly need that sense of belonging, of feeling needed.   So spend some time helping family and friends today, you will actually be helping yourself just as much as you are helping them.

The Two Together

Sometimes it feels like life is just too much; and that is often when others need us the most, it seems!  Being there for those we love helps ground us, and helps us keep our own problems in perspective.  Many times, it's much easier to appreciate our own blessings once we have seen the problems others have to deal with.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Uruz Reversed

Sometimes in our desire to not make a mistake we are overly cautious and don't realize an opportunity when it is presented to us, or we pass it by not really realizing what we had been offered.  Take the time to truly consider any opportunities you are given today: don't rush into anything, just don't rush to say no either.  Take the time to think things through today; and remember, sometimes just getting out of our comfort zone can turn things around for us.

Tarot Card of the Day: 10 of Swords

It's easy to be so focused on our problems that we don't see anything else, we miss opportunities to do things that could help us.  When you look at things as hopeless, you deny yourself any opportunity to improve them, you just keep yourself stuck there.
Look for the new opportunity that is present, look for the silver lining in the cloud, it is there, just waiting to be noticed.

The Two Together

Uruz reversed and the 10 of Swords both speak of missed opportunities-the 10 of Swords because we are so focused on what is wrong, Uruz because we are so afraid of making things worse.  Together these are both telling us we have a choice, we can stay stuck and wallow in misery, or we can act, we can look for that glimmer of hope, that offer to do something new that may just change our lives.

Blessings!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Rune of the Day: Lagaz Reversed

It's easy to begin second guessing yourself when things aren't going well, to deny your intuition, to question your every thought.  Doing this, while understandable, will lead to a complete standstill in your life.  By overthinking everything and second-guessing yourself you feed into any negative energy that is around you.  Take a minute, meditate if possible, and go with your gut.  You have to make decisions to break out of a bad cycle, and sometimes even bad decisions are better than none at all.

Tarot Card of the Day: 6 of Pentacles

Generosity and sharing are the keywords for today, very fitting for Valentine's Day.  Spread some kindness around today, no matter how bad things might be, there is always someone worse off.  That's a really good thing to remember today: if all you have to give is a smile, give one to everyone!  You might be very pleasantly surprised at what is given back to you.

The Two Together

Lagaz reversed indicates life at a standstill due to self-doubt.  The 6 of Pentacles is telling you to reach out to others, to do something good for someone else.  What a wonderful way to break out of a rut, by helping someone else-maybe even helping them break out of their own rut.

Blessings!

Thursday, February 13, 2014

Rune of the Day: Fehu Reversed

Use caution when making any financial decisions today.  It may be tempting to spend extra money on something frivolous, or on something that you think will be useful or profitable in the future; but for today, let caution rule your spending.  Sometimes spending money out of frustration makes you feel better, but that is only temporary, and usually regretted soon after.  If at all possible just table all financial decisions for a more profitable time.

Tarot Card of the Day: 5 of Wands

You may feel that you are being unfairly taken advantage of today, and you may be right, but try not to get drawn into conflicts today, especially at work.   Although they will not be easy to avoid, keeping your peace will prove to be the right move in the long run.   Rising to the bait will just lead to more hard feelings and more conflict in the long run.

The Two Together:

Fehu reversed paired with the 5 of Wands indicates some serious financial conflicts today.  You may have to decide between two equally unappealing choices of what not to pay, or what not to do (fixing your car or repairing your roof for example).  Whatever you choose to do, someone is going to be unhappy.  Make the decision that you feel is best, and stand by it.  Second guessing yourself will accomplish nothing.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Beork Reversed

This looks like the beginning of a somewhat stressful week.  In fact,  it may very well feel like you are moving backwards today.   Things seem to be moving at the very least in slow motion, if not actually in reverse.  Expect some setbacks, expect to see progress that you have made come undone, at least a little.  Work that you have done on some projects may have to be completely redone.  The best that can be hoped for today is that things just stay the same.
Tarot Card of the Day: 4 of Pentacles

You may be tempted to keep things hidden today, to stay to yourself and let others alone.  We all need alone time, just be sure that you are not withdrawing to be spiteful, and that your actions are not hurting others, even unintentionally.  Often withdrawing is a way of avoiding problems, just remember the problems will still be there, waiting to be dealt with.

The Two Together

Beork reversed indicates things not going well, while the 4 of Pentacles reflects hoarding, withdrawing, even selfishness.  Be careful how you react today when things go wrong.  Remember that you are not the only one affected, others are involved also.   Withdrawing from the situation, blaming others, trying to minimize your consequences are all perfectly understandable, but not constructive.  Fixing a problem is always a better answer than hiding from it.
Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Eolh

Proceed with caution today in your plans: be very careful of new opportunities and new people.  Although there will be advancement through these things, it will come with a price.  Use caution, and make sure that you understand all that is expected of you, both that which is stated outright and that which is merely implied.  Eolh is above all else a rune of protection, so do be careful in all your dealings today.

Tarot Card of the Day: 8 of Wands

Things will be moving quickly today, maybe even a little too quickly.  It is really easy to get caught up in the momentum of progress and just go along for the ride.  But too much, too fast, too soon almost always leads to regrets.  Slow it down just a little bit.  Progress is a wonderful thing, but make sure your making progress in the right direction, don't just go along for the sake of keeping the momentum going.

The Two Together

Both Eolh and the 8 of Wands are indicating progress will be made today.  There will be new opportunities; but both are also saying to use caution, to take it slow.   Make sure you are happy with the direction you're headed in, and how you are getting there.  If something feels off, take a step back and make reconnect with your goals and values.  Your inner guides will never lead you astray if you truly listen to them.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Othala

Today is a good day to reach out to family, to spend some time considering your roots and your heritage.  Look at where you have come from and where you are going.  Try to see the big picture in life, the one that is bigger than just your lifetime.  Spend a little time honoring your history; have a traditional meal, tell stories of your childhood, look at old family photos, whatever feels right for you.  Your heritage is one of the few things in your life that doesn't change, which is always with you.

Tarot Card of the Day:  7 of Pentacles Reversed

It will be easy to lose patience today, to make rash decisions, especially financially.  Take the time to think things through, to decide whether or not you really need to buy that new coat, appliance, car, whatever it is.  Consider your options, does what you have really need to be replaced or will be almost as good as new with just a few repairs?

The Two Together

Othala paired with the reversed 7 of Pentacles is urging you to remember where you came from, not just heritage wise, but lifestyle wise.  It's a reminder to live within your means, to focus on what is truly important in life, not on keeping up with the Joneses.  Most of us grew up with parents doing the best that they could, that's what we should focus on today, just doing the best that we can, and honoring those that taught us what our best truly can be.

Blessings!

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Rune of the Day: Nied

There is a strong tendency to focus on the negative today, to only see the bad, and to let that negativity cloud your thinking.  There will be obstacles and setbacks; they are a part of life.  It is how you handle them that is important, and today your tendency is to overreact, to let stress and worry cloud your thinking and distort your reality.  It's necessary today to just do our best with the situations that we face.  After all, doing our best is all that anyone can ask of us.

Tarot Card of the Day: The Hermit

Wanting to be alone will be a strong tendency today.  A desire to just get away from it all and almost feel sorry for yourself.  Although you will be there for those who reach out to you today, you will not really be connecting with them emotionally.  You would just as soon stay in your head today, and you will do your best to make that a possibility.

The Two Together

Both Nied and the Hermit speak of spending time in your own head, with your own thoughts: Nied because of cloudy thinking, the Hermit because of a desire to just be left alone to brood.  Time alone is all well and good, just keep in mind that hiding never solves a problem, and that you have to come out and face the real world sometime.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Sigel

Success and good fortune are your key words today.  This is more of an inner success, a sense of warmth and wholeness, a feeling of vitality and accomplishment.  You feel like you can take on anything the world throws at you today and succeed.  You will be able to handle any problems that come your way today; your inner strength will keep you headed in the right direction, and keep you focused on the positive.

Tarot Card of the Day: 7 of Wands

Obstacles in your way today had best beware!  You are capable of handling anything that comes your way and coming out ahead.  This is a day of success, of things going well, of advancement.  You will come out ahead in almost anything you do today.

The Two Together

Sigel paired with the 7 of Wands is a pretty good combination.  Both represent success and achievement.  Expect things to go very well today, not just on the personal front, but in matters of career also.  Some days everything just seems to go perfectly, today will be one of those days.

Blessings!

Rune of the Day: Hagall
Today is a day of unpleasant surprises, of things beyond your control interrupting your well-laid plans.  Sometimes a major shock is needed to shake things up in your life, to teach you a lesson that you have been avoiding.  Keep an open mind: try to learn from any setbacks that happen today.  Very often, if we learn what we need to, the short term discomfort of Hagall is followed by long lasting rewards.
Tarot Card of the Day: The Fool Reversed

Expect difficulty making decisions today, hesitation seems to be the keyword of the day.  Sometimes we just don't have the energy to care where we're headed, and today feels like this might be the case.  Don't make hasty decisions today, wait until you have a more positive outlook, then make a choice in which direction to head.

The Two Together

The Fool reversed paired with Hagall is indicating a sense of giving up, of being frozen by indecision.  The setbacks of Hagall are not meant to put us in stasis, but to teach us a lesson we haven't learned by easier means.  Taking the time to learn the underlying lesson will show us our path and help us break the apathy that we are feeling.

Blessings!
