Saturday 11/29 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Uruz Reversed

You may not notice an opportunity that comes your way today, possibly you feel a bit under the weather or are just so wrapped up in what you're doing that you don't recognize new possibilities. Try to slow down a bit today, and focus on things outside yourself, you might just find the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Tarot Card of the Day: Death

Expect some changes to be coming your way today, some of them somewhat disruptive. Change is a part of life, and how we handle it really determines how much of an impact it has on us. The more we can accept and work with the changes that come our way, the more we view them as positive opportunities, the more likely we are to have a positive outcome.

The Two Together

Uruz reversed paired with Death is telling us that things will be changing, possibly because we haven't been paying attention to things in our life. Maybe we've been neglecting our health, or just so caught up in the day to day struggle that we missed a new opportunity or two to better ourselves or our situation. We need to pay more attention to what is going on around us, and within ourselves, so that we can make the most of the opportunities we are given. Change can be a very positive thing, especially if we are prepared for it.

Friday 11/28 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Thurisaz
Sometimes we need to take a moment just to honor ourselves; a moment to look at all we've done, both good and bad, and reflect on how it made us who we are today. Take the time to do that today, and know that no matter what you may have done in the past, it was the best you could do at that moment. We have to make mistakes to become stronger, some lessons can only be learned through experience. Forgive yourself for your past, and honor who you have become today.

Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Swords
Try to see the whole picture when you look at any situation today, don't get so bogged down by one or two things that you lose track of the main point. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, but if you can look at the work that is being done, by you and/or someone else, and know that progress is being made, know that everyone is doing their best, then rest assured everything will work out just as it is meant to.

The Two Together
Both Thurisaz and the Page of Swords are reminding us to stay focused on the big picture, to look at the overall outcome, not the individual missteps that might have been made. Everything has context, and needs to be looked at it in light of that context. Focusing on a few negative actions without taking account all the good things just gives a skewed picture and an untrue image. Forgive yourself and others for mistakes, look at your whole life and know that you are now, and always will be, a work in progress.

Thursday 11/27 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Happy Thanksgiving!

Rune of the Day: Jera
Very little in life that is worthwhile comes to us quickly, most things take patience. Whether it is cooking for hours to get today's dinner ready, or spending weeks and months working on a new project or improving ourselves, good results cannot be rushed. Keep this in mind as the hustle and bustle of the holiday season begins increasing.

Tarot Card of the Day: Page of Pentacles Reversed
There is nothing wrong with taking it easy on occasion, after all many people have today off from work. Just be careful not to get so caught up in having some down time that you neglect or ignore others when they need your help. You absolutely shouldn't have to do everything, but doing nothing is just as much of a problem. Find a balance, even when taking it easy, it really helps you keep yourself firmly grounded.

The Two Together

Jera paired with the reversed Page of Pentacles is telling us not to get frustrated when things take longer than we would like. Sometimes frustration can lead to just giving up right when just a little more effort would yield not only the results that we want, but even more. Have patience, and stick with your goals, as long as they are what you truly want. Do that, and you will be sure to reach them.

Wednesday 11/26 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Nied

We all have challenges in life that we have to deal with: those things that we just can't seem to get rid of. It may be a relative or close friend always in need, or a physical, mental, or emotional challenge of our own. It is how we meet this challenge that is important, how we learn to deal with it. Try to handle it with patience and grace, because it will be making itself felt today.

Tarot Card of the Day: Queen of Swords Reversed

With holiday time a lot of us know, or sometimes become, the reversed Queen of Swords, at least somewhat. We put on the happy face and pretend that certain things and behaviors and people are not really bothering us. Secretly, we just want to get away from these situations as quickly as possible. Don't get so caught up in playing nice that you let it drag you down. It's fine to be tolerant for the holiday, but find a way to let the stress that creates out-be sure to take some time just for you.

The Two Together

Nied paired with the reversed Queen of Swords is reminding us that sometimes in life the obstacles we have to deal with are negative people, even if they hide their negativity behind smiles. We can't always choose who we have to associate with, so finding a way to play nicely with someone negative can be essential. There is no one size fits all solution to this problem, but remembering we can't control or change others, we can only control and change our reaction to them, is a good start. Adjusting our attitude works wonders for our peace of mind when dealing with these situations.

Tuesday 11/25 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Fehu Reversed

Be careful of your spending today, money seems to run through your fingers even faster than normal. Although it may seem there is enough for the moment, make sure you have money set aside for the unexpected expenses coming your way.

Tarot Card of the Day: Sun Reversed

Although things aren't going as well as you would like, they are definitely not going badly right now. Take the time to appreciate the blessings you have instead of worrying about what you don't have.  The more you appreciate what is going well, which is most things, the less you will miss the minor things that you haven't achieved yet.

The Two Together

The pairing of Fehu and the Sun both reversed is cautioning us not to be wasteful of what we have in the pursuit of more, instead to enjoy the blessings we already have. We're taught that more is better, but knowing and appreciating when there is enough, opens the door to real, lasting happiness.

Monday 11/24 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Ehwaz Reversed

Everything seems to be on hold today; no matter which way you turn something is either blocking your path, or slowing you down.  Instead of fighting against these obstacles take the time to slow down, to really consider where you are going, and how you are getting there.  Making changes in your life is a good thing, as long as you are moving in a positive direction. These delays may be there to help you reconsider your current path.

Tarot Card of the Day: 5 of Pentacles

Life may be looking rather dreary right now, with no bright spots in sight. That is just because you are looking in the wrong direction-things may not be great, or even good, but there is always hope. Look around, really look, and you will find something positive to focus on. What we focus on is what we attract: by focusing on the negative we bring more negativity to ourselves, so focus instead on whatever you can find that is good and uplifting in your life. Very soon you will find a lot more of that and a lot less of the negative.

The Two Together

The pairing of Ehwaz reversed and the 5 of Cups are telling us that it is time to slow down and to look at our lives. We need to really look at where we are now,  the path we are on, and how we are making changes in our life, and then we need to make all of these things as positive as we can. It's very easy in today's world to get distracted and lose track of where we are headed, today we should take time to get back on the path we are meant to walk.

Sunday 11/23 Daily Rune and Tarot Card

Rune of the Day: Raidho

It’s very easy in today’s world to just keep going, to get so caught up in the hustle and bustle that we don’t take time to sit and really talk to and listen to those people that are a part of our lives. Often, this lack of communication, or the assumption that we just know what someone else is thinking or what they would want leads to major roadblocks for us. Take some time today to really talk to those you care about, you might be surprised not just by their thoughts, but by what they think your thoughts are.

Tarot Card of the Day: 8 of Cups

Sometimes we need to walk away from situations and/or people that have become toxic to us. Depending on how close we are to these people or situations this can be difficult, it may be someone or something that has been in our lives for a very long time and that started out as incredible and uplifting for us. It is time to recognize that no matter how much something or someone helped us in the past, if they are dragging us down now, we have to walk away.

The Two Together

Raidho paired with the 8 of Cups is telling us it’s time to sit down with those people in our lives who are no longer enhancing our lives, but are perhaps dragging us down or holding us back. There may be things happening with them that we can help with, that will bring them back to a good place: or, they may just be on a different path from ours. There is nothing wrong with choosing a different path, even one that we feel is not positive, that is everyone’s right and their free will. We just need to remember that if they are choosing a path that we feel is harmful we have the right and the duty to remove ourselves from that situation or relationship. You don’t owe anyone loyalty to the point of hurting yourself.
