Be careful not to fall into the trap of overthinking things, or denying
your intuition just because you don't like what you are being told. Sometimes,
no matter how much we have invested in someone, or something, we just have to
walk away. It's not necessarily a sign of failure to give up on things that are
not working out, it can be a sign of growth.
