Rune of the Day: Othala
So much of what we have and who we are comes from our ancestors-sometimes in an actual inheritance, sometimes in physical traits or mental attitudes. Enjoy the heritage that you have, learn a little more about it, use the strengths you've inherited to better yourself. Spend some time with any older family members you may have left-they have a lot to teach us.
Tarot Card of the Day: 2 of Swords
Be aware of what is going on around you today. Its easy to just accept things at face value and not look any deeper. The more aware you are of what's happening under the radar, the less likely you are to have an unpleasant surprise. Listen to things people are talking about, all too often the warning signs of change are there, they have just been ignored.
The Two Together
Othala paired with the 2 of Swords is reminding us that even when things are going well, when we are in a good place in our lives, we still must be aware of what is going on around us. Often we choose not to look at things that are unpleasant, or to hope they will go away on their own. They usually don't-so pay attention to those little things-the appliance that isn't working quite right, the engine light that goes on and off in the car, even that nagging cough. Acting on these things when they are still small problems can save a LOT of time, money, and heartache in the future.
