Rune of the Day: Eihwaz

Even the most comfortable connections in our life sometimes have to come to an end; either because they have served their purpose, or because they are starting to drag us down.  Let these relationships go today, if it is time.  It may be difficult now, but in the long run it will be much less painful to do it now.

You may find yourself pretending to be much happier than you are today.  You're very good at handling everything that comes your way, but sometimes it does take a toll.  Don't be afraid to let others know you're stressed, you don't have to do it all on your own.  Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. 

 

The Two Together

The Reversed 2 of Cups paired with Eihwaz is telling us that we don't have to pretend everything is okay when it isn't.  We often cling to things that we know we have moved past because we don't want to upset others, so we pretend everything is okay.  Today is the day to drop the pretense, and to drop the things that aren't working for us anymore.  Its time to take care of ourselves and do what's best for us.
