Take some time for self-reflection today, time to really look at your life. Don't judge yourself, just look at all you've accomplished, both good and bad, and let go of whatever in it is holding you back. Remember that we can't change the past, we can only change how we let it affect us.
Tarot Card of the Day: 8 of Cups Reversed
You may be feeling trapped today, like no matter what you do you just can't make things any better. Try looking at the big picture: if you can't make things better on a small scale, maybe it's time to walk away from the entire situation. Sometimes we have to give up the familiar and the known to find our true path and real happiness.
The Two Together
Both Thurisaz and the reversed 8 of Cups speak of letting go of those things that are holding us back. Thurisaz is urging us to let go after acknowledging whatever good and bad has come from the situation, while the reversed 8 of Cups shows our unwillingness to let go of what is familiar, and possibly even loved. Sometimes we have to move on, even from things and people we love, because they are no longer helping us, or raising us up, but are instead holding us back, or even dragging us down.
