that we just aren’t that good at. One of the keys to a happy life is knowing
when to use our talents and when to step aside; when not to do something even
though we can. This is especially true when it comes to helping others,
sometimes it is best to let them sink or swim on their own-it may be a lesson
they need to learn.
The Two Together
Gifu paired with the reversed Magician is telling us to
be sure that anyone we are using our abilities and knowledge to help, is
repaying us in some way. How they repay is not important: cash, trade of
services, just passing along the help to someone else who needs it, the
specifics are not important; what is important is being sure that they are not
just taking without giving in exchange. It may be time to start saying no to
someone who is always taking and never giving.
