Rune of the Day: Eihwaz

Eihwaz is a rune of endings, flexibility and endurance.  This is also a rune of protection and defense.  When this rune shows up know that  familiar situations and/or relationships will be coming to an end.

It's very important that you do your best to roll with the punches when this rune appears.  Although the changes happening are painful these changes are occurring to protect you from either physical, or more likely, spiritual or emotional harm.

Know that you can get through anything life is throwing at you right now, and that you will come out of it stronger than you thought you could be.

Tarot Card of the Day: Empress (Reversed)

The Empress reversed is a card of delay, anxiety, ennui, indecision.  Sometimes this card represents infertility or infidelity.

This card generally appears when you are so worried about something that you are simply unable to decide what action to take, or even if you should take any action at all.

Know that eventually some action will have to be taken, no matter what your individual situation is.  Its almost always better to initiate action as opposed to reacting to the actions of others.

The Two Together:

Eihwaz and the Empress reversed actually complement each other quite well.  Eihwaz speaks of things ending and the need to move on, to accept changes as they occur.

The reversed Empress is someone mired in indecision.  She is watching her familiar things change and fall apart and does not know what to do to make the situation better, or at least keep it from getting worse.

The answer is found in Eihwaz, know that everything happens for a reason, as dark as things may look right now, there will soon be a dawn.  As long as you keep an open mind, your path will soon be made clear to you.

Blessings!
