Rune of the Day: Thurisaz

Thurisaz is a rune of delay, of work that still needs to be done.  This rune is telling you to slow down, to examine the whole situation, both inside and out, and change what needs to be changed, no matter how painful that may be.

Thurisaz reminds us that we must not give in to doubt, and that most growth and advancement is at least somewhat painful.  Look inside-your motivations for the changes you are making, and outside what effect will these changes have on not just you, but those around you.

This rune is really about knowing yourself and why you're doing the things you've chosen to do.  This often requires some deep soul searching, take that time today, it is Saturday after all.  Learn your motivations, then do what you know in your heart to be right, even if it means making a painful decision.

Tarot Card of the Day: 5 of Wands

The 5 of Staffs is a card of struggle, of sometimes violent conflict, of disagreement and not getting what you want.

The appearance of this card means things will not go smoothly for you, what is up to you is how you respond.  Because staffs are generally associated with work, school, things that you are very invested in, it is probably best to tread carefully.

Although this may portend a trying day or time for you, know that although you can't change what obstacles life puts in front of you, you can definitely change how you respond to them.
