Rune of the Day: Perthro

Perthro is the rune of unexpected gain, of initiation, of blessings from the Divine.  It also represents hidden natures, the part of ourselves that we don't show in the day to day world: the mechanic who composes music at nite, the construction worker who plays the cello, the part of us that is the real us.

Today is a day to expect the unexpected and to embrace it, because today's surprises will be good ones.  Unexpected blessings, usually coming from the Divine in ways we never would have thought are what Perthro represents.

Tarot Card of the Day: Knight of Swords

The Knight of Swords is a card of bravery and skill, of someone unafraid to confront the challenges they face, someone who knows they are capable of overcoming whatever life may throw at them at a given time.

The energy of this card is very much a can-do type of energy, a let's get this taken care of energy.  This card symbolizes a good time to take care of all the projects you have been putting off because they just seemed to daunting.

With the energy of this card today, you can whip right through most of those projects; in fact, you'll be surprised with the ease with which they get done.

The Two Together (BUM-BUM-BUM)

Sorry, saying the two together just seemed to merit some ominous BUM-BUM-BUM type music! lol

Actually Perthro and the Knight of Swords make a pretty interesting pair.  The energy and can-do attitude of the Knight combines well with the unexpected gain of Perthro.  What comes to mind is tackling a big project like cleaning out an attic or garage and finding an unexpected treasure-a valuable antique, a long-lost family bible, anything that would mean a lot, either financially or emotionally.

Perhaps you may just find something you thought you had lost forever, a favorite piece of jewelery or a treasured photo.   Maybe even a lottery ticket you'd set aside and forgotten-check it, today may be the day you find that its worth at least a small amount of money.
