Rune of the Day: Daeg

Daeg is a rune of clarity, of transformation and illumination, of having an epiphany.  This rune usually appears at a time when we are doing, or are in need of, some serious soul-searching.

Sometimes this self reflection comes upon us for no apparent reason and sometimes it is triggered by another person or an event we witness or hear of.  Whatever its source, with the appearance of Daeg we are sure to find some inner illumination, some clarity to help us find our path and continue on our journey.

Tarot Card of the Day: High Priest (Reversed)

The High Priest reversed is a card of gullibility, of being too generous, of vulnerability and frailty.

Often this card indicates someone blind to the faults of others, or to the truth of a given situation.  Think of the parent who keeps giving their adult child money, turning a blind eye to the fact that the child has a drug problem; or the elderly person fooled into giving out personal information to a stranger that they believe is trying to help them.

The reversed High Priest often shows to warn one that there are people around them who cannot be trusted, or that they may not know as much as they think they do about a given situation.

Use caution in your dealings today with others, both business and personal.  Sometimes it is hard to see what is right in front of us, especially if it is a gradual change in someone we care about.  We may not notice what is really going on until it is too late.  So take a step back today, and look at the situations you are in with fresh eyes.  You never know what you might see!

The Two Together:

Daeg and the High Priest reversed are telling us to look at what is going on both around us and within ourselves.

Daeg is all about clarity and illumination, usually of ourselves, and often this comes from things we observe in others.

The reversed Priest is telling us that all is not as it seems with those around us.  We need to be aware of what is happening with others so that we do not accidentally get caught up in their drama.

Blessings!
