Rune of the Day: Ing

Ing is a rune of new beginnings, of fertility and prosperity, of sexual heat, latent energy and potency.

This is a rune of getting things done, of accomplishment and creation.  Projects that one has been working on, or meaning to get to, now is a great time to work on them.   It is amazing how much can be accomplished with the energy of Ing.

This is a truly a can-do type of energy, for both esoteric and mundane projects.  Cleaning and/or organizing the house, creating art, closing a business deal, even creating life, just about anything is possible today.

Take the energy of Ing, and use it well.  Do the things that always seem to be too big to tackle, that one has been putting off.   Today, those projects just won't be as daunting.

Tarot Card of the Day: 6 of Cups

The 6 of Cups is a card of nostalgia, of memories, of influences from the past and those things that have shaped us.

Sometimes this card symbolizes a trip back to where one grew up, a return to one's roots.  More often, it symbolizes a trip down memory lane, a time of reminiscing.

This card often also symbolizes trying to recreate for one's own children some of the traditions and beliefs that one grew up with.  At this time of year, with the holidays in full swing, many people are in touch with family and recreating good memories from their childhood.

The Two Together:

Ing is a rune of getting things done, of energy, of drive, while the 6 of Cups speaks of nostalgia and reminiscing.

Together, they reflect a drive to return to a simpler time, a desire to recapture some of the holiday magic from one's younger years.

Use the energy of Ing to build a snowman or snow fort, to have a snowball fight, or if it hasn't been done yet, to set up holiday decorations.  Recreate some of the holiday fun enjoyed in one's youth.

Blessings!
