Rune of the Day: Mannaz

Mannaz is a rune of humanity, of nobility despite imperfection, of human relationships, cooperation, and the collective good. This rune reminds us that we are all interconnected, not just in large ways , but in small ways also.

Mannaz shows up to let us know that no one is expecting perfection from us, just an honest effort to better ourselves. The more that we reach our full potential, the more we contribute to the well being of everyone.

With this rune appearing today, take some time to focus on yourself.  Work on something that gives you joy, spend time in nature, meditate, anything that helps give you peace of mind helps you to grow.

Tarot Card of the Day: Temperance (Reversed)

Temperance reversed is a card of impatience and hostility.  It very much reflects a difficulty in getting along with others, impatience, intolerance.

Fortunately, this is usually a temporary condition.  (At least for most of us! lol)  This card usually appears when we are dealing with people who have different goals than we do.  It often indicates a lack of understanding, and frequently a refusal to try to understand anyone else's point of view.

Try to look at things from another perspective today.  We don't have to agree with anyone else but it helps sometimes if we can at least see where they're coming from and why they may be making the choices that they are.

The Two Together:

Mannaz and Temperance reversed today both speak of working with others towards a goal.  Mannaz is encouraging us to reach our full potential, and so is Temperance reversed, in an indirect way.

Greater understanding of others helps us to grow, and that is what today's tarot card is advocating.  Listening to others, and trying to put ourselves in their place, instead of staying stuck in our heads and becoming annoyed with each other, leads us to greater spiritual growth.

Mannaz, meanwhile is encouraging spiritual growth in whatever form works best for us.  The more we work on bettering ourselves, the more we can help better our world.

Blessings!
