Rune of the Day: Hagall

Hagall is a rune of radical disruption, of things beyond one's control, of change, damage, and of regeneration.

This rune generally appears when one needs a rude awakening, so to speak.  The more severe or abrupt the disturbance is, the more of an awakening is needed.

Pay attention to the underlying cause of the disruption, this is what one needs to learn from.  By learning, this turmoil can lead to new, unforeseen, long-term rewards.

Tarot Card of the Day: Ace of Staffs Reversed

The Ace of Staffs reversed is a card of false starts, of plans being cancelled, of frustration.

This card is usually drawn when one's plans simply are not meant to work out.  There is rarely anything that could have been done to prevent this from happening; it is usually a lesson being taught either to us or to someone else involved in the situation.

Try to roll with the punches today, know that things sometimes just don't work out, and don't take it personally.

The Two Together:

Both Hagall and the reversed Ace of Staffs are telling us that plans will be delayed, that today will be a day of things not going our way.

We need to remember that this is happening for a reason, it is the Divine's way of teaching us a lesson.  We need to look past ourselves, and our disappointment and frustration, and see what we are meant to learn from this delay.

Perhaps we could have made better plans, or perhaps we merely need to be reminded that sometimes things just don't work out.  Whatever the lesson is, the sooner we recognize and learn it, the sooner we can be sure that we will not have to be taught it again, in a more extreme manner!

Blessings!
